Kubota tractor line geared toward livestock producers

A global farm machinery company is using feedback from livestock producers to manufacture a line of tractors.

Martin Carrier is Kubota’s product marketing director for ag and says the company is launching a new generation of M6 and M7 tractors that are designed to be used on cattle farms and ranches.

“Those tractors have a whole list of new features mostly designed to help farmers with applications like baling or loader work. And more productivity, more simplicity, and more efficiency for them while keeping the Kubota reliability.”

Speaking to Brownfield at the Kubota Connect event in Dallas Texas Wednesday, he says the Japanese-based company is manufacturing higher horsepower tractors.

“We are, but we’re mostly following that livestock segment because that has become your baling tractor, your mowing tractor.”

To that end, Carrier says Kubota is also rolling out hay tools including two new models of tedders.
