Kubota continues philanthropy mission through “Geared to Give” program

Kubota continues to give back to veterans of the armed forces who have returned to serve their country through careers in agriculture.

During the 2021 Commodity Classic, Kubota hosted a press conference to recognize the success of their “Geared to Give” program.

In partnership with the Farmer Veteran Coalition, Kubota equips US military veterans with tools they need to pursue a future in farming by providing financial support and donations of Kubota equipment. Since the inception of the program in 2015, Kubota has awarded 26 pieces of equipment to Farmer Veteran Coalition members and donated more than $700,000 to support their fellowship fund. Last year, Kubota expanded their offerings to include high horsepower tractors, hay tools and utility vehicles for Geared to Give recipients.

“One of the first farmer veterans to receive one of our higher horsepower tractors is Army veteran Cody Miller from Thayer, Iowa, who owns and operates Full Moon Farms where he raises cattle and makes hay on about 200 acres”, says Evan Eagan with Kubota. Cody, who served in Afghanistan, received an M7 Series tractor with loader and a BV4580 baler. And he’s done a great job of putting them to use on his farm.”

Kubota also offers exclusive discounts on their products for all Farmer Veteran coalition members. Click here to learn more about the Farmer Veteran Coalition and Kubota’s Geared to Give Program.

  • I am a 100% disabled veteran with 23 years active retirement from the Army. I would like to be a cattle farmer to start out small with 18.5 acres that I am currently purchasing with my home in Rienzi, MS. I need to pasture that and grow from there. I will need fencing material, tractor/attachments (front end loader, bush hog, box blade etc.) I am planning on building a pond and clearing the land but don’t have equipment to do so. With purchasing home finances are limited. Thanks for your consideration.
