Krone backs out of plans to relocate HQ to Indiana

Tennessee-based farm equipment company Krone North America has called off its plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to Shelbyville (Indiana).

The company announced plans in March 2016 that it would invest $12.5 million to build a 200,000 square-foot operations hub.  Construction had been set to begin this past spring, but the company never broke ground.

The facility was going to serve as the company’s distribution hub and training center in North America and would create up to 101 new, high paying jobs by 2021.

A spokesman for the company says Krone wants to reevaluate their original plans.
