June 30 is the last day to complete enrollment for ARC, PLC

Enrollment for Agriculture Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage programs for the 2020 crop year must be completed by June 30.

The USDA says that although elections for the 2020 crop year remain the same as elections made for 2019, producers must contact their local Farm Service Agency office to sign a 2020 enrollment contract.

FSA Administrator Richard Fordyce says the ARC and PLC programs help producers weather market distortions from natural disasters, trade disruptions, and, this year, the COVID-19 pandemic.

More than 1.4 million ARC and PLC contracts have been signed for the 2020 crop year so far.

Producers are eligible to enroll on farms with base acres of barley, canola, chickpeas, corn, crambe, flaxseed, grain sorghum, lentils, mustard seeds, oats, peanuts, dry peas, rapeseed, long grain rice, medium- and short-grain rice, safflower seed, seed cotton, sesame, soybeans, sunflower seed, and wheat.
