It’s National FFA week

FFA members across the country are celebrating National FFA Week and sharing the impact the organization has had on their lives.

Riley Pagett is the director of advocacy and government relations for the National FFA Organization.

“It’s a week-long celebration where chapters can come together, can advocate for the organization that has changed many of our lives, can recruit new members, and can also celebrate agricultural education in their classroom and in their home communities,” he says.

He tells Brownfield highlights the great work students are doing, but it also gets former members involved.

“I think that it also pulls on the heartstrings of former members and alumni members who often remember everything that FFA has done from them, everything agricultural education has done for them, and ways that they can give back,” he says. “It’s a really cool celebration.”

Pagett says the National FFA Organization will continue the celebration during National Ag Week (March 10-16) and National Ag Day (March 14) next month.
