ITC finds fertilizer imports could be hurting U.S. ag

The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) says urea ammonium nitrate solutions (UAN) imported from three countries could be hurting the ag industry.

The ITC says the fertilizer imported from Russia and Trinidad and Tobago are “materially injuring” industries because it’s subsidized and sold in the U.S. at less than fair value.

This means ITC will continue its investigation with results released in two rounds on September 23rd and December 7th.

  • I have not been able to access any cheap prices. All I see is US fertilizers going up and up because they are trying to stick it, farmers, since grain prices have improved. At the end of the day farmers really don’t make anymore they just pass the increases along to suppliers.
