The Iowa Soybean Association’s Environmental Programs & Services division operates an extensive water quality monitoring program. The purpose is to gather data on what’s in Iowa’s streams and rivers and to use that data to measurably improve water quality.

“We also work with farmers and do some individual tile line sampling—looking at the water that’s coming out their land in particular,” says ISA-EPS environmental research coordinator Tony Seeman.

We discussed the water sampling program with Seeman during a stop at the ISA tent during the recent Farm Progress Show.
