Iowa’s fast planting pace continues

The fast planting pace in Iowa continues.

As of Sunday, 91 percent of the state’s expected corn crop and 71 percent of the soybean crop were planted, two weeks ahead of average for both crops.

One-third of corn and six percent of soybeans had emerged.

The first hay condition rating of the season was 71 percent good to excellent. Pasture condition rated 62 percent good to excellent.
