Iowa officials submit comments on revised WOTUS rule

Top state government officials in Iowa, including Governor Kim Reynolds and ag secretary Mike Naig, have submitted comments in support of proposed changes to the definition of “Waters of the United States” (WOTUS).

In a letter to the EPA, those officials say the new WOTUS rule provides much-needed stability for farmers whose livelihoods depend upon their ability to work the land. They call it another win in the battle against “the Obama administration’s massive federal overreach in 2015”.

The public comment period on the revised WOTUS rule ended on Monday.
