Iowa corn harvest in final stretch

Just five percent of Iowa’s corn crop remains unharvested.

USDA says at 95 percent complete, the harvest pace is three days ahead of the five-year average.

South-central Iowa remains furthest behind with about 10 percent of the crop left to harvest.

Farmers are also baling corn stalks, applying anhydrous, and fall tillage.
