Iowa corn denting is nine days behind normal

Forty-one percent of Iowa’s corn crop was in the dent stage, as of Sunday, nine days behind normal.  One percent of corn had reached maturity. Corn was rated 62 percent good to excellent.

Three percent of the soybean crop had started coloring, 11 days behind average.  Soybean condition rated 60 percent good to excellent.

The third cutting of alfalfa hay reached 64 percent, nine days behind average.  Pasture condition rated 45 percent good to excellent.
