INFB pleased with E15 news

Indiana Farm Bureau President Randy Kron says the organization is grateful the Biden administration listened to the agriculture industry’s call to lift summertime restrictions on E15.

He says the higher blend of ethanol will reduce costs to consumers at the pump and benefit Hoosier farmers.

“Indiana has 15 ethanol plants, and about 45% of the corn we grow goes into ethanol,” he says. “Ethanol represents a critical market for our members and the ethanol industry supports many jobs in our rural communities.”

He says reducing dependence on foreign crude oil will help keep rural Indiana and rural America viable.
