Indiana State Fair to return this summer

The Indiana State Fair announced today that this year’s state fair will take place in-person July 30-August 22. The theme will celebrate all things Indiana and the resiliency of the Hoosier spirit.

State Fair official have been actively working with the Indiana State Department of Health as planning continues in the coming months.

Indiana State Fair Commission Executive Director Cyndi Hoye says they’ll be able to host the event in late summer with the 250 acre, mostly outdoor campus.

“We know this year’s State Fair may look a little different, and we are prepared for that,” she says. “…This event matters to our State and our fairgoers; it’s an important part of annual Hoosier family traditions.”

This year, the State Fair will add a weekend to the front end of the schedule and be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays each week.

The Indiana State Fair is planning to bring back 4-H competitions, fair food, entertainment, and more.
