Indiana Farm Bureau Second Vice President Isabella Chism was reelected chair of the American Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee.

She was unanimously reelected during the 2023 AFBF Convention Saturday in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Chism says she is honored to continue representing members across the country as women in agriculture are passionate advocates and have always been equal partners on the nation’s family farms.

“It is a privilege to lead a committee that develops and empowers women to be leaders in their communities, supporting the mission and policy of Farm Bureau members across the country,” she says.

The AFBF Women’s Leadership program provides women with leadership training, communication skills, and networking to strengthen their ability to encourage positive change in their communities and in the ag industry.

Previous to this role, Chism’s served as vice chair of the committee. She has served as 2nd vice president of Indiana Farm Bureau for 16 years. She serves on the AFBF board of directors as well as the AFBF trade advisory committee.

Chism and her husband, Kent, farm in Howard County, raising corn, soybeans and sweet corn.
