Indiana Co-ops partner to buy Michigan CHS assets

Indiana-based agricultural cooperatives Ceres Solutions and Co-Alliance are forming a joint venture with the intent to buy CHS assets in Michigan.

CHS executive vice president Rick Dusek says the proposed transaction to buy a CHS-owned ag retail business would expand operations of the cooperatives and allow CHS to reinvest in retail operations more closely aligned with its core business supply chain.

Negotiations will continue with due diligence activities and, pending board approvals, the transaction could be completed later this year to serve farmers throughout central Michigan.
