Illinois soils saturated

Illinois producers made corn and soybean planting progress this past week.  There was less than an inch or rain on average, but topsoil moisture is still 100 percent adequate to surplus.  Three-quarters of the corn is planted, which is close to normal.  The crop is almost half emerged and the crop is mostly fair to good.  Almost a quarter of the soybeans are planted. Winter wheat is mostly fair to good.  Illinois pastures are 84 percent good to excellent.
