The Governor’s Sale of Champions event at the Illinois State Fair raised nearly 160-thousand dollars for junior exhibitors and the state’s 4-H and FFA programs.
Capping off the auction was the sale of the Grand Champion Steer owned by Lucas Wisnefski of Wyoming, Illinois. It sold for a record 104-thousand dollars to Governor and Mrs. Bruce Rauner and Friends of Wisnefski.
