IL harvest behind, wheat emergence ahead

Illinois harvest slowed last week due to wet conditions.
    

USDA says the state’s corn crop is 62 percent harvested, one percent behind a year ago.

Soybean harvest passed the halfway point but is 26 percent behind last year. 92 percent of soybeans are dropping leaves. The crop’s rating fell one percent to 70 percent good to excellent.

Winter wheat planting is halfway done, but 18 percent behind last year. More than a third of the crop has emerged, 10 percent better than last year.
