IL crop conditions slide

Illinois corn planting is nearly wrapped up, soybeans are progressing.

USDA says Illinois’ corn is rated 71 percent good to excellent.

Nearly all of Illinois’ soybean crop is planted, ahead of the average. More than 90 percent of the crop has emerged, with it rated 66 percent good to excellent.

Illinois’ winter wheat harvest is behind pace at nearly 20 percent. Wheat’s condition rating fell to 89 percent fair or better.
