Hurst says water rule fight not over

Ag groups are pleased with the EPA’s new water rule but some have expressed concern that the fight is not over.

At the American Farm Bureau convention earlier this week, Missouri Farm Bureau President Blake Hurst told Brownfield that no matter what the new rule is, it will be a very long process, “I mean, this is all going to end up in the courts and it will probably end up in the Supreme Court. The argument is over a couple of Supreme Court decisions now almost 30 years ago.”

But, Hurst says Farm Bureau members are optimistic and know that the Obama Administration’s WOTUS rule is not coming back, “WOTUS is gone and that’s the good news.”
