Hurst proud, looking forward to serving with new YF&R Chair

It’s easy for Missouri Farm Bureau President Blake Hurst to find something from the American Farm Bureau Annual Convention of which to be proud.  He first mentions that Kolena Bruce of Missouri was elected as the 2017 Young Farmer and Rancher Committee Chairperson.  Bruce is the fourth Missourian to serve in that capacity in the not too distant past.  Preceding her from Missouri were Richard Fordyce, Chris Chinn and Glen Cope.  Hurst says he looks forward to serving on the AFBF Board with Bruce in 2017.

On the delegate floor, Hurst offered a sense of the delegate body resolution calling for passage of regulatory reform “in order to say to Congress, to say to President Trump when assumes office, that this is of utmost importance to American agriculture,” Hurst told Brownfield Ag News at the AFBF Convention prior to the group’s delegate session.  That resolution was adopted by AFBF voting delegates.
