House Dems not ready to pass USMCA

House Democrats remain one of the last holdups on passing the USMCA now that President Trump’s tariff threats to Mexico have been suspended.

“We’re not ready.”      

Representative Debbie Dingell of Michigan, a Democrat, told Fox News over the weekend the House doesn’t have the votes yet to pass the agreement.  She wants to see changes to labor, environment and enforcement provisions. 

House Republicans have said the agreement could pass if the Speaker calls for a vote.
