Hoosier turkeys heading to White House

This year’s National Turkeys presented to President Biden hail from the Hoosier state.

The birds were raised by National Turkey Federation chairman Phil Seger and Indiana turkey producer Andrea Welp in cooperation with Farbest Farms.

President Biden will pardon the National Thanksgiving Turkey and its alternate later this week and the birds will then be housed at Purdue’s Animal Science Research and Education Center.

Indiana is the fourth largest turkey producing state in the nation.
