Hinson says farm income is one of her top ag priorities in ‘23

US Congresswoman Ashley Hinson says the new Congress will need to prioritize work that helps reduce production costs for farmers.

“People have told me their costs have risen to a 300% increase,” Hinson said. “That’s just unsustainable long-term. I am working on policies to help drive down the cost of doing business for everyone and specifically for our farmers.”

The Iowa Republican tells Brownfield 2023 Farm Bill programs could provide some relief. “We must be working in that farm bill on ways to reduce our input costs and continue to support innovation,” she said.

Hinson says she would also like to see the farm bill help boost regulatory certainty.
