Hinson backs Senate’s confirmation of Taylor as Trade Under Secretary
US Congresswoman Ashley Hinson is praising the Senate for confirming Alexis Taylor as USDA’s Trade Under Secretary.
“This is about continuing to advance trade so that our farmers and producers can know they will have someone at the table and advocating for them,” she said, “to make sure they have access to the best deals possible and additional markets.”
The Iowa Republican tells Brownfield American agriculture needs certainty when it comes to trade.
“Trade is the lifeblood of our country,” Hinson said. “Making sure we have good people as trade reps and fill those positions has been absolutely critical.”
Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack says Taylor’s confirmation will help USDA work on the Biden administration’s key trade priorities.
