Heat stress in Nebraska causes crop conditions to decline

Crop condition ratings dropped last week in Nebraska from warm and dry conditions.

USDA says corn is rated at 62 percent good-to-excellent, down two percent from last week.  One percent is silking.

Soybeans are seen at 51 percent good to-excellent, a decline of one percent from last week with a quarter of the crop blooming.

Winter wheat condition is rated at 17 percent good-to-excellent with about a quarter of the crop harvested.

Pasture and range conditions are rated 13 percent good-to-excellent.
