Hagenow named 76th Alice in Dairyland

Wisconsin has a new Alice in Dairyland.  Ashley Hagenow of Poynette was selected by a committee in Walworth County Saturday night to serve as Wisconsin’s agricultural ambassador for the next year.

Hagenow says she and the other five top candidates have spent the last several weeks training and preparing. “Presenting radio and TV interviews, writing media campaigns, focused on professionalism, public speaking, and a lot of other factors that go into the role of Alice in Dairyland, so it is a pretty rigorous process but one that definitely prepares you to step into this role.”

Hagenow just graduated from the University of Minnesota, where she was active in agricultural marketing and dairy judging. “I’m really excited to just bring my genuine love for Wisconsin agriculture and my love for connecting with a wide variety of consumers, farmers, processors, and everyone in between to the role of Alice in Dairyland.”

Ashley Hagenow is the daughter of Bob and Lisa Hagenow.  She will succeed Taylor Schaefer next month.
