Growing conditions remain relatively favorable in Michigan

The USDA says growing conditions remained favorable last week in Michigan.    

The corn condition improved slightly with 73 percent of the crop in good to excellent condition.

Sixty-four percent of soybeans are rated good to excellent.

Twelve percent of the winter wheat crop is harvested, and 56 percent of the crop is in good to excellent condition.

Dry bean condition continued to deteriorate as water damage from previous weeks became apparent, according to the latest crop progress and condition report.
