A coalition of environmental groups in the Mississippi River Basin says the EPA has failed to address nutrient runoff in the Mississippi River.

The report, issued by the Mississippi River Collaborative says the EPA has formed task forces, sponsored scientific studies and encouraged voluntary pollution reduction measures to little effect.

The report calls on the EPA to use its authority under the Clean Water Act for force 10 states in the Mississippi River Basin to set standards for waters in their states.
