Fudge reportedly endorses Scott for House Ag Chair

Congresswoman Marcia Fudge of Ohio endorses fellow House Ag Committee member David Scott of Georgia to be the next committee chairman, according to Agri-Pulse. An aide for Fudge also told Agri-Pulse she would be honored to serve as USDA Ag Secretary if offered the job.

Fudge has been seen as a contender for both openings.

Congressman Scott is the senior democrat on the House Ag Committee following chairman Collin Peterson who lost re-election.

 California Congressman Jim Costa is also seeking the chairmanship.
