FSR manager encourages growers to meet with exhibitors, make plans for ’22

The manager of the Farm Science Review says farmers will want to meet with exhibitors during the three-day event to make plans for the 2022 crop year.

Nick Zachrich says producers trying to buy new or used equipment or parts understand the supply-chain related challenges impacting the industry.

“It will be an important farm show for people to come and be able to talk to some of the company reps, whether it’s after-market parts or the actual original manufacturers of those parts, to see when those things are going to become available,” he says. “We all know that things wear out, need new parts, and break so we need to make sure we’re going to keep machines running through this fall.”

He tells Brownfield now is the time to make plans for the upcoming season.

“Don’t be afraid to ask questions about the planting season,” he says. “If you’re all set for this fall, be planning ahead this spring because it’s going to be challenging still to get some of those parts.”

The Farm Science Review kicks off today and continues through Wednesday.
