FSA offers Michigan farmers disaster assistance

The Farm Service Agency is offering Michigan farmers impacted by recent flooding disaster assistance.

Acting Executive Director for Michigan Troy Nichols says the agency has seven different disaster assistance and low-interest loan programs available.

Emergency programs coverage is offered for non-insurable crops, livestock indemnity, tree assistance, conservation and grazing needs.

Michigan declared Isabella and Midland Counties in a “state of disaster” after historic flooding in Mid-June.
