Fire at Tyson plant in Nebraska injures two, temporarily stops operations

A fire at a Tyson meat processing plant in Northeast Nebraska has injured two workers and temporarily shut down operations.

Multiple units from surrounding counties were called to the plant in Madison on Sunday morning before it was extinguished midafternoon.

The Madison Fire Department says two Tyson workers were injured, taken to a nearby hospital and later released.

In a statement to Brownfield, Tyson says it’s investigating the cause of the fire but didn’t say if there were any further disruptions to plant operations.
