FFA week outreach going further in virtual format

The FFA central region vice president says this FFA week will allow the organization to highlight some of its programs through social media campaigns and…

“We’ll have our national days of service going on all week where chapters across the nation can be working in the field, rolling up their sleeves, getting their hands dirty and serving communities across our nation,” Paxton Dahmer said.

Missouri’s Dahmer said the COVID-19 pandemic has brought challenges but also positives.

“We do look different, right now, working in a virtual platform,” he said. “We’re actually able to reach more members.”

Unique to this year, Dahmer says he will work directly with FFA chapters virtually and the national officer team will reach chapters in more than 30 states.

“While our approach has changed with COVID, our mission has not,” Dahmer said. “We’re still working to develop that next generation of leaders that are going to change the world and we’re doing that, just in different ways but we’re still doing the same programming.”

Dahmer said more than 760,000 FFA members across the country will be taking part in FFA week. FFA’s central region includes Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
