Farmers in Indiana continue fieldwork

A dry week brought soil moisture levels back down in Indiana. The USDA says winter wheat crop conditions were higher than both last year and the five-year average with 67 percent rated good to excellent.

Wet conditions from previous weeks limited fieldwork in some areas, but growers continue to make progress.

Topsoil moisture is 98 percent adequate to surplus and subsoil moisture is 97 percent adequate to surplus.
