Farmers for Free Trade has launched a new campaign highlighting the importance of ratifying the US Mexico Canada Agreement.

Brian Kuehl is the co-director of Farmers for Free Trade.

Top trade officials from US, Canada, and Mexico met in Washington DC (Wednesday) to discuss modifications to the agreement.

Kuehl says this is good news because any changes to the agreement would have to be approved by Canada and Mexico.

“So the fact that they’re brining Canada and Mexico into the discussion we take as a very positive sign this is all moving to the final stages of negotiation,” he says.

He says he remains optimistic the agreement can be ratified soon.

“I think we can get it passed through the house by Christmas, that’s certainly our goal and is why we’re running these radio ads and digital ads in key districts,” he says.
