Farmer says conditions are right for fall fieldwork

Southern Indiana farmer Ben Kron says dry conditions will allow him to complete fall fieldwork when harvest wraps up.

“We’ll do some tillage this fall, disc in some corn stalks and plow in some soybean ground, and hopefully get some spraying done this fall,” he says.

He tells Brownfield wet conditions in recent harvest seasons have prevented him from getting any fall fieldwork done.

“We haven’t been able to do that in the past couple of years,” he says.

Kron grows corn and soybeans in Evansville, Indiana.
