Farmer encouraged by higher commodity prices

Northwestern Ohio farmer Patty Mann says she has been able to take advantage of some of the higher commodity prices.

“It has definitely been exciting to see the market higher after many years of being way below normal,” she says.

She tells Brownfield the continued bullish market is encouraging.

“From the surprising government report that came out last week it sounds like we’re going to be looking at a short supply and some tightness until we get into new crop and have a good crop,” she says. “So, I’ve definitely been able to take advantage of that.”

Mann grows corn and soybeans in Shelby County.
