Farmer discusses disease pressure concerns

A southwestern Indiana farmer says he’s concerned about disease pressure because of recent wet conditions.

Mark Seib grows corn and soybeans in Poseyville.

“We have sprayed fungicide, but we’re kind of concerned that we may have an issue with how long that will last with the humidity and wetness,” he says. “Will it hold all the way through, and will it do any damage to our yields. That’s our major concern right now.”

Seib says he’ll continue to scout fields for tar spot.
