Farm data needed for study on unique growing year

The University of Illinois is requesting basic planting, harvest and yield data to learn from the extraordinary growing conditions Illinois farmers faced in 2019.

Researchers at the U of I will use the data to understand how planting date and variety maturity impact yields in order to provide guidance if Illinois farmers experience growing conditions similar to 2019 in the future.

The researchers are requesting data on 2019 corn and soybean fields in every Illinois county by the end of the year. Growers can share their data via mail, e-mail or an online form.
