Farm bill research title important to University of Nebraska

University of Nebraska President Ted Carter says research funding will be a pivotal part of the 2023 Farm Bill.

“Anything that will allow us to expand and put more meaningful research into the hands of our extension educators, I am going to be all for it,” Carter said.

He tells Brownfield the university’s food and ag research has grown on every campus. “It isn’t just about how many dollars we are spending on research,” Carter said. “It’s the quality and type of research.”

Carter says 75% of the state’s farmers and ranchers utilize the University’s research.
