Farm bill input encouraged

U.S. Agriculture Committee leaders are encouraging anyone impacted by farm bill programs to submit comments to help shape the 2023 legislation.

Senate Ag Committee Chair Debbie Stabenow and Ranking Member John Boozeman have created an online portal for stakeholder feedback and proposed changes to the 2018 Farm Bill.

During a recent committee hearing, Stabenow pledged bipartisan support to keep the budgets for commodity and nutrition programs separate.

“We’ve just got some work to do together as we figure out how we are going to proceed on all of this and the numbers,” she said.

House Ag Committee leaders Glenn “GT” Thompson and David Scott have also created separate online forms for stakeholders to submit feedback.
