Fake cattle id scammer in custody

A Tennessee man has been accused of fraudulently selling electronic cattle ear tags throughout the U.S.

The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association says Timothy Evans was arrested in Tennessee and is charged with 18 counts of theft after creating a company called “Cattle Traxx” and selling electronic tags online to producers in Texas and across the U.S. that he never planned on delivering.

The association, which has special rangers throughout Texas and Oklahoma trained to stop crime in the cattle industry, led the investigation.
