Fair Oaks encourages an open dialogue in light of undercover videos

An audit of Fair Oaks Farms is underway after the owners say that a group of employees joined the northern Indiana farm with the intent of creating misleading animal cruelty videos.

Mike and Sue McCloskey posted a video defending their organizational practices against the animal activist organization that infiltrated their operation.

Mike McCloskey says the videos don’t properly represent the operation. He says instead of the thousands of compassionate moments that employees have caring for animals, their practices are misrepresented.

The employees are no longer with Fair Oaks. They left on their own accord before the owners knew about the infiltration.

The McCloskey’s say they wish that groups like this would share their thoughts in person and allow them to have an open dialogue.

Fair Oaks has called for a third-party audit of their operation. The farm follows the protocols of the National Farmers Assuring Responsible Management (FARM) program.
