Ethanol company says E15 sales could eliminate some volatility in the industry

An ethanol producer says year-round E15 sales could create long-term certainty in the marketplace for consumers and corn farmers.

Jon Cosby, CEO of Nebraska-based E Energy Adams, says the industry should be able to meet an increase in demand for ethanol-blended fuels because: “Millions of miles have been driven on E15. It provides our business with a path to know that we can continue producing the way that we need to.”

He says it will also help rural economies. “For the consumer it’s a clean product that saves money at the pump. For producers, it’s a major benefit because we’re allowed to use more grain in our own state and helps agriculture as a whole.”

Cosby says there’s sufficient infrastructure for retailers to meet demand.
