EPA reaffirms glyphosate is not a cancer risk

The EPA has reaffirmed its finding that glyphosate is not a cancer risk to users.

That conclusion comes from EPA’s interim review of glyphosate, the next step in the agency’s process to re-register the herbicide. The agency said its scientific findings on human health risk are consistent with reviews by several other countries and federal agencies.

The agency is proposing label changes to reduce off-target spray drift. They say applicators must not spray during temperature inversions, and aerial applications cannot be made when wind speeds exceed 15 mph at the application site.
