EPA finalizes new science transparency rule
The Environmental Protection Agency finalized a rule they say will strengthen transparency in the science used for regulatory actions.
The new rule says EPA will give greater consideration to studies where data is available for independent validation. The new rule does not require EPA to store or release personally identifiable or confidential business information.
The new rule applies to future regulatory actions and all dose-response data studies, regardless of when the data was created.
Now, when proposing significant regulatory actions, the EPA will be required to identify the science behind the rule with limited case-by-case exceptions.
The new transparency rule went into effect Wednesday.
That is good. It means no rulings to stop climate change because there is no scientific proof that climate change is human-caused.
