EPA agrees with 10th Circuit on restricting SREs

The EPA has agreed with the 10^th Circuit Appeals court decision a year ago that limits Small Refinery Exemptions.

Geoff Cooper, CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association, says “that is fantastic news for America’s biofuel producers, farmers and consumers.”

He says the RFA is grateful the new leadership at EPA took time to thoroughly review the court decision.

Cooper says they strongly agree with EPA’s conclusion that the exemption was intended to be temporary and only previously existing exemptions may be extended.
