Dubois County 4-H Fair will take place virtually

The Dubois County 4-H Fair will be held virtually. The decision was made out of an abundance of caution and in an effort to keep youth, volunteers, and the community safe, according to the Dubois County 4-H Council and Dubois County Purdue Extension. Dubois County is in southwestern Indiana.

The groups say while Indiana’s Back on Track plan would allow the fair to take place if the state makes it to Stage 5, it’s not guaranteed. They say additional requirements to use personal protective equipment, social distancing, temperature checks, and tracking of people on the grounds would make it “nearly impossible to comply with policy and still provide a positive experience.”

Youth will be able to exhibit projects virtually. The virtual fair will take place July 13-17.
