DEKALB Disease Shield available for 2017

Farmers visiting Farm Progress Show had the opportunity to learn more about the DEKALB Disease Shield corn products. DEKALB corn product manager Kacy Perry tells Brownfield Disease Shield provides peace of mind to farmers because it provides comprehensive protection against five common corn diseases.  She said farmers may have 1 of these diseases in their corn 2 out of every 5 years.  DEKALB Disease Shield products provide industry-leading protection against all 5 and bring high-yielding exclusive genetics as well.

DEKALB Disease Shield corn provides a broad spectrum of enhanced protection against anthracnose stalk rot, gray leaf spot, Goss’s wilt, northern corn leaf blight and, in limited geographies, southern rust.

Perry said farmers will have 6 products available to them for the next growing season.  She said DEKALB Disease Shield products span the 109 to 120 relative maturities for 2017 and will continue to expand in the coming years.
